
Fabrizio Bosi
Born in Montemarciano (AN), he graduated with honors in Saxophone from the “G. Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro under the guidance of Maestro Enzo Veddovi. He attended several specialization courses and seminars led by Maestro Federico Mondelci and Maestro Jean-Marie Londeix.
His concert activity, encompassing both classical and jazz music, ranges from saxophone-piano duos to saxophone quartets (“Saxton Quartet”, “The New Saxophone Quartet”) and larger, more varied ensembles (“Aeternum Saxophone Ensemble”, Jazz Orchestra of the “Rossini” Conservatory, and the “Ensemble ‘88 Big Band”, which he conducts). With these ensembles, he performed works by composers such as Pierné, Françaix, Albéniz, Desenclos, Ibert, Villa-Lobos, Gershwin, Ravel, Bach, Gabrieli, Catel, Poulenc, Milhaud, Miyazawa, Noda, Kinaston, and many others. He also received numerous accolades in various music competitions (Stresa, Gargano, etc.). As the Conductor of the “Ensemble ‘88 Big Band,” he toured both in Italy and abroad, and also recorded several pieces for RAI (Italian national public broadcasting company).
He is the creator of the “SETTE GIORNI IN JAZZ” festival, organized by the “Ensemble ‘88” musical association and the Municipality of Montemarciano, and was its Artistic Director for several years, bringing nationally and internationally renowned artists to the stage. He is the permanent Conductor of the Montemarciano Band, with which he participates in important national music competitions and festivals. In 2011, he graduated with distinction in Jazz Music from the “G. Rossini” Conservatory in Pesaro under the guidance of Maestro Gian Marco Gualandi. Since 1993, he has been a Saxophone Professor at the State Conservatory of Music “Nino Rota” in Monopoli (BA).
